San Francisco, California-"IT'S TIME FOR GMTI," is the message on the blinking button that NEXPO 2000 attendees must spot in order to register for a chance to win a brand new Rolex® wristwatch. Those fortunate enough to find the person wearing that button must also be wearing one of the blinking buttons being distributed to NEXPO 2000 attendees by Gannett Media Technologies International (GMTI), exhibit booth #2039.
The blinking buttons distributed to NEXPO attendees promote GMTI's two product lines: Celebro.com and Digital Collections. Wearing one of these flashing buttons is your opportunity to be a part of the excitement, and qualify to win the RolexÒ watch-to be given away on Tuesday, June 20. GMTI expects to register at least one person each hour of the NEXPO trade show-giving everyone a chance to register for the drawing right up until the last day of the show. Remember: you must be wearing either a Celebro.com or Digital Collections button in order to qualify.
The Gannett Media Technologies International (GMTI) exhibit features two product lines: Celebro.com (formerly Celebro Advertising Solutions) and Digital Collections.
Celebro.com database application services provide the well-proven means to increase automotive and real estate advertising, while strengthening your relationship with those advertisers along the way. Celebro.com accepts advertiser data via the Internet, places it into custom-designed ad templates, and electronically delivers those ads to your newspaper-output ready-no proof required. All this is accomplished via the Internet.
Digital Collections provides digital asset management systems for news library, photo archive and picture-desk applications. The DC4 system is accessible via Internet and Intranet-using common web browsers. Two new DC4 system options are being shown at NEXPO 2000 for the first time. xtQâ, a software for extracting data from QuarkXPressâ pages, provides automated content processing by decomposing Quark pages into separate stories and their component parts (headline, byline, photo, etc.). After a page is decomposed, page elements are then qualified for conversion to XML, and routed to the DC4 database. Also being shown for the first time is the DC4 "I-Commerce" module-an optional search application with built-in shopping cart functionality that enables online information sales by newspaper publishers.
