Steve Fuschetti
President & CEO
Steve was named President & CEO of GMTI upon the merger of InfiNet and GMTI in 2003. Previously he had served as President of InfiNet, a Gannett, Knight-Ridder and Landmark Communications Co. partnership that focused on emerging web technology solutions for the media industry and provided consumer ISP services marketed behind newspaper brands in local markets across the United States. Steve joined InfiNet in 1997, initially responsible for the company’s overall financial management, assuming responsibility for the consumer ISP operation shortly thereafter. He was promoted to President & CEO in 1999, oversaw the sale of the ISP business to Earthlink in 2000 and the merger with GMTI in 2003. Steve began his career as an auditor with KPMG in New York City. He served as Controller for Dale Carnegie International, Inc. before joining Gannett Co., Inc.’s Lou Harris and Associates as CFO. He later transferred to Gannett’s Outdoor Advertising Division and held the position of President & General Manager of Gannett Outdoor New Jersey at the time of Gannett’s sale of that division in 1997. Steve received his bachelor's degree in International Affairs from Lafayette College and his MBA from New York University Graduate School of Business. He currently serves on the Executive Committees of the Hampton Roads Workforce Development Board, the Downtown Norfolk Council, the Metropolitan Board of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads and the Virginia Stage Company.
Chelsy Carter
Vice President, Support & Knowledge Management
Chelsy has worked with GMTI since 2000. She assumed her current role in late 2009.
Prior to GMTI, Chelsy served in manager roles at Landmark Communications including Director, Electronic Publishing for Falcon Publishing and General Manager of CareerWeb.com (Employment Guide). Previously, Chelsy developed software for defense contractors and for the U.S. Navy.
Chelsy graduated from Old Dominion University with a master's degree in Humanities and a bachelor's degree in Computer-Human Interface Design.
Chelsy serves on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Norfolk Council and the ForKids organization, and performs for Tidewater Arts Outreach. She is passionate about the arts, travel, and Polynesian dance.
Natalie Dennis
Controller/Human Resources
Natalie has 27 years experience in various financial positions. Her career began with 15 years at General Electric, where her roles included FP&A for the Military Division, administering the expatriate program for over 300 expatriate employees, and financial analyst for the Stealth bomber.
Natalie diverted her career for a time, when she joined a graphic design company to create and design web sites. But graphic design didn't match the thrill of finance, so she joined GMTI as Controller in 1999.
Natalie holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a minor in psychology.
Tom Foster
Vice President, Project Management
Tom Foster has worked the past 11 years in technical roles ranging from web developer to product manager on applications used by media companies.
Prior to that, Tom spent 17 years as a newspaper reporter and editor. He covered the conflict in Somalia, was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for a series on prison health care, and co-wrote "Their Darkest Day," a book chronicling the terrorist attack on Pan Am Flight 103.
Tom has a bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science and a master’s degree in information science.
Chris Ruffieux
Vice President, Technology
Chris has 22 years experience architecting, building and managing infrastructure and applications that support medium to large scale digital Internet operations. He joined InfiNet Co. in 1995 and was Vice President of Systems in 2003 when InfiNet merged with GMTI. In his current role of Vice President, Technology Chris leads Technology Operations and Software Development teams that service Gannett Digital businesses. Previously Chris held senior technical positions at Digital Equipment Corporation and Planning Research Corporation. Chris holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
